Ryan M. Emmett

Ryan M. Emmett is an associate in the Philadelphia office of Naulty, Scaricamazza & McDevitt, LLC where he practices with the firm’s General Liability and Insurance Defense Department. Ryan, who joined the firm in 2019, concentrates his practice in the areas of auto liability, premises liability, and insurance defense. He has practiced for over a decade in the insurance defense industry.
Ryan earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Business from Penn State University in 2008. Ryan subsequently earned his Juris Doctor with Honors from Widener University School of Law in 2011, where he served as an Academic Support Fellow and was the Articles Editor for the Widener Law Review.
After law school, Ryan served as a judicial law clerk to New Jersey Superior Court Judge Francis P. DeStefano and then clerked for Judge Alan M. Rubenstein of the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas. Ryan subsequently joined a mid-sized defense firm in Philadelphia where he focused his practice on auto liability and general liability defense. Immediately prior to joining Naulty, Scaricamazza & McDevitt, LLC, Ryan worked as Claims Counsel for a large regional insurance company.
Ryan also volunteers with Philadelphia VIP to provide legal services to low-income individuals and families in the Philadelphia area.
Ryan is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of New Jersey.
