The Philadelphia office, our company headquarters, is located within the stately One Penn Center at Suburban Station (pictured to the left). Suburban Station lies in the middle of Philadelphia's central business district and serves as a transportation hub for the region - thereby, facilitating quick access to our office from the SEPTA Regional Rail lines and rapid transit via the Market-Frankford and Broad Street Lines. While One Penn Center, sitting above Suburban Station, forms the core of the Penn Center district - which is in the middle of Center City. Philadelphia is the fifth largest metropolitan area in the United States and is the home of many large businesses, government institutions, hospitals, pharmaceutical companies and universities.
The office is within walking distance of the major state and federal courts of Philadelphia as well as many arbitration locations, with Philadelphia's famous City Hall two blocks to the east. Inside our office, there is a terrific view of the new Comcast Center, Philadelphia's largest skyscraper, which is immediately adjacent to One Penn Center to the west. The majority of the firm's attorneys practice at the Philadelphia office, ensuring ideal positioning to meet our clients' needs in Philadelphia and the metropolitan area. The Philadelphia office is also the center for our support staff, including the administrative, clerical and accounting departments. With so many of our firm's attorneys at the Philadelphia office, a concise description of their practice areas is impossible; instead, please see the listing of Philadelphia Attorneys and our firm's Areas of Practice page.
The New Jersey office is our largest branch office; it is located in the rapidly expanding business district of Marlton, NJ (which is in Evesham Township). In addition to our office, the business park houses banks, insurance companies, financial services, medical facilities, research centers and other law firms. Marlton is situated along the western edge of Burlington County - in close proximity to Camden County. The local transportation infrastructure allows for quick access to most areas of Southern New Jersey as well as other areas in the Delaware Valley; both the New Jersey Turnpike and I-295 (Business Bypass for I-95) pass nearby the township, and New Jersey Transit provides public transportation to Philadelphia on Route 406.
Francis T. McDevitt is the managing partner of the New Jersey office; Frank founded the branch office when he moved his practice to New Jersey from the firm's Philadelphia office. He is joined by associate Ann Longo. The aforementioned attorneys focus their practice primarily on matters of general liability, including - but not limited to: commercial liability, defamation, discrimination, employment liability, medical malpractice, construction liability, motor vehicle claims, premises liability, products liability, automobile and trucking liability, property damage, pharmacy malpractice and appellate practice. The Delaware County office (pictured to the left) is our oldest branch office; it is located in Media, PA, which is the county seat of Delaware County, Pennsylvania - the fifth most populous county in the state. The town is served by both the SEPTA Route 101 light rail line which connects to the Philadelphia network at 69th Street Station and the Media / Elwyn SEPTA Regional Rail Line, which runs directly to Center City, Philadelphia. Interstate 476 (the "Blue Route") runs just to the east of Media - allowing for easy access to the office from the Western Philadelphia metropolitan area. With the Delaware County Courthouse located within walking distance - a mere two blocks to the west, the Delaware County office is ideally suited to meet the needs of our clients' in the Western Philadelphia metropolitan area and the surrounding region.
Ronald P. Bartash is the managing partner of the Delaware County office; Ronald was the first attorney in the firm to base his practice outside of the Philadelphia office, and he, thus, founded our first branch office. He is joined by partner Melissa A. Schwartz and associate Jennifer M. Ganley. Ronald, Melissa and Jennifer all practice with the firm's Workers' Compensation Department - Ronald is, in fact, the head of the firm's Workers' Compensation Department; they have litigated cases before workers’ compensation judges, the Workers' Compensation Appeal Board and Commonwealth Court. The geographic location of the Delaware County office provides for quick access to trial and arbitration locations both within Delaware County and throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania.
The Delaware office (pictured to the right) is our newest branch office; it is located in northern Wilmington, which is the most populous city in the state of Delaware. Interstate 95 passes through the middle of the city allowing for rapid access from areas to the north, including Philadelphia, and to the west, including Baltimore and Washington. Just to the south of the city, I-95 intersects with I-295 and indirectly (via I-295) with the New Jersey Turnpike, facilitating connections with Southern New Jersey. The recently reconstructed Wilmington Station provides mass transit links to Philadelphia via the Wilmington / Newark SEPTA Regional Rail line and to Washington and Baltimore to the southwest and Philadelphia, New York and Boston to the northeast via the Northeast Corridor of Amtrak's national rail network.
Given the state of Delaware's advantageous pro-business tax laws and Wilmington's status as the largest city within the state, many large credit companies have their headquarters in the city; additionally, many retail banking and insurance companies are represented in Wilmington - making the city a national hub for financial activity. The office is staffed by Michael J. Follett who practices with the firm's General Liability department; he focuses his practice on premises liability, products liability, construction liability and insurance defense. The Delaware office is ideally suited to provide a location in close proximity to trial and arbitration centers in Wilmington and throughout the state of Delaware.
